you have see this amazing family tons of times on the blog….and you may even remember their birthday party from last year…that mickey mouse party that mom knocked out of the park!  well not to be outdone by herself last year she upped the antie this time because she planned the most incredible party ALL WHILE pregnant with mr’c baby brother!  geesh this woman never ceases to amaze me!!!!  Isn’t she incredible?!  and let me tell you the food at this party was….beyond mouthwatering!!!!!  but of course you know for a cupcake snob to go to a party where virginia’s cake is served is just dreamy!!!!!!

so if you remember this little conversation i had with myself on the blog last week you may need reminding….just gonna preface with that there ha

noooow. onto miss K. YES you have seen her before, YES she is really a senior in high school, YES she is really so super fabulous and her mom even taught me a thing or two about a golf swing while we were shooting…yeah they were both pretty fabulous ladies!  so you saw here first a few month ago when we met while shooting a commercial shoot for our wonderful hair colorist jaci at SPROUT SALONS  you can see that ridiculously fab shoot here so this session was even more relaxed and exciting then the usual (hold up i just referred to something with me as relaxed that might not be entirely truthful ha)..anyways it was pretty rocking’ because we had met and shot before so miss k already knew what to expect from me and my insanity and vice versa.  as you can see she rocked it out AGAIN!  just love hanging with y’all lovely ladies!

so as you can see you chubby cheek photography peeps have kept me so wonderfully busy this year i was hardly able to take on very many high school seniors again this year…so the simply blush side of things may be coming to a close, I’m sort of undecided…well thats not true i was pretty sure pretty decided pretty set i was going to let the stuff go and then, i had the pleasure of hanging out with several incredible high school seniors girls over spring break with a few more in the coming month…and well now…geesh who knows hahaha

so as always miss c and her mama and i and OUR WONDERFUL assistant-slash-neighbor-slash-styling-extroidaire had the best time trucking around town, laughing til we almost peed and dodged texas chainsaw massacre (yes again) i swear he follows me for these shoots, ha.  well lets just say we ended the shoot at a total hole in the wall mexican restaurant and made memories over queso and fajitas:)love you ladies i am so grateful y’all chose me to share that queso with!!!

they are about the memories your heart will ache to remember someday

they are about the magic of childhood

that lives in each and every one of us!

feel her magic?!

mine are in there too….

this is why i am in love with child photography…we get to live in their world, even if only for a moment we get to join them, in the most magical, carefree, sugary sweet, willy-wonka-candy-trees-butterfly-filled-fairy-tale…and its priceless.

miss a came to me all the way from Louisiana where her mom is one pretty incredible photog herself.  now this usually make me super nervous, and i rarely shoot other photogs because of it, but gosh this experience was beyond my most magical dreams.  We planned and planned and emailed and talked the most perfect location was right under our noses, the divine clothes from tutudumonde gave us inspiration, a friend happened to have the most perfect chair we could borrow and the crown…well that was the icing on the cake.  we went in so many different directions with what would work and what we thought miss a wanted, what we wanted, ideas and dreams were swirling around us and we just stopped…and finally settled on “the magic and wonder of little girls” how’s that for broad?!  the day was upon us the weather was looking bad, the location almost “wasn’t”, but we held it together and the outcome…well the outcome that was once a dream in her mamas head and another dream in mine became miss a’s reality…

we played, we danced, we twirled, we danced some more, we drank hot chocolate, snuggled, sang, did i mention we danced, and we just enjoyed the little girl “magic” of miss a.
