so a while back i was invited as one of 45 other photogs to be a part of a contest for matilda jane clothing….we were all sent the same dress and were asked to do whatever we wanted with it…my mind was flooded with ideas, the normal matilda jane stuff, out in a field, all vintage-y, etc etc….well i finally got the dress the second week of nov and the due date was nov 25 for my image….well time passed and i furiously worked on yalls pics, cards, delivering, scheduling, and so on. i had allowed myself ONE day to get the shot (the risk that didnt pay off, lol). i had decided i would do both ideas the normal field shot and then something totally out of my confort zone and totally different from what MJC ever does, something more retro. well after 2 straight nights of not sleeping and the image due that night we set out to find a cool laundromat to try my idea. as i was driving i started having vision issues so i pulled myself and my daughter right off of hwy 45 and into a parking lot. the proceeding hours are kind of a blur, my best friend kim came to my rescue and then my hubby. so, after some yacking on the side of the road, an er visit, a few shots in my bootay, a cat scan, a finger prick and some heavy drugs later i still had not submitted my pic and crazy me decided to send one no matter what straight out of camera!
i had ironically pulled into a parking lot that actually had a laundromat and i fired off a few snaps of cheeks #1, kind of hard to do when you are see’ing a spots. to my dismay none encompassed my vision, none made me happy, none really made me pumped but how could i have been chosen and not submitted a pic?!?!? anyhoo here is the resulting shot and a few others, i actually did take her out after the deadline and shoot a few in the dress for my own sanity. anyhoo if you feel so inclined go vote there are a ton of amazing photogs that were chosen that submitted some fab stuff. and hey at least miss thang looks cute so you sure can vote for her cuteness!
oh and as for me apparently i am suffering from some uncontrollable migraines at the moment, hopefully the months of the dec and this little break will do me and my head some good
apparently she wants to be more like her big sister than i thought, lol…..this is how i found cheeks#2 after my shower, i was slightly impressed that she not only got those on all by herself but the right way! maybe i should think abotu potty training, hahahahaha!
