just wanted to formally announce that i will not be accepting any baby plan clients for the remainder of 2010. and as hard as it is to say, at this point it does not look like i will be bringing it back in 2011. while i have so graciously loved being a part of so many of your babies first year’s i have to take a step back for a bit and give myself to opportunity to take a break and that is almost impossible when i have so many commitments for the next year to so many of you. thanks for allowing me to build such a strong foundation with that baby plan and all of my newborn clients.

My mom is just one of those people….ya know that person that walks by you and you swear she said you had some cute shoes….or the one that is talking to you like you have known her forever when in fact you just met her in line at the grocery store….she’s honest, sometimes to a fault when it comes to my fashion or hairstyle choices over the years ….she’s beautiful on the inside and out…she is IMperfect, the best ones always are….she is the kind of person you want to respond when you say “mom?”.

My relationship with my mom has always been incredible and exactly as it should be. Yes, i said some ugly things when i was 2 or 12. Sure, i thought i knew more than her when i was 15, 16, and maybe even 17 . And of course there has never been a moment that i have needed her that she hasnt come running as fast as possible.

I can honestly say that it wasnt until i left her, to head to a&m that i realized how much i needed her, yep pretty typical i know, but hey some people take way more time than that. The thing is though, i DID finally understand what she had done to get me to that point, who she had made me into and how much she wanted to make every dream i had come true.

Her life could not have been more different than mine, there are alot of things she chooses to forget about her life and that’s why she made so many memories for me to remember about mine.

She has always been my comfort and my protector.

she cried with me when i came home bc some mean girls made fun of me and when the first wedding dress i put on was the one.

she woke up at 430am to take chairs to the pool so they would have the best line of sight for my swim events or cheerleading competitions.

she laughed at me behind the camera when i thought i was so cool bc i could “jump” the curb on my bike (finally).

she flossed my teeth until i was 10 and then didnt speak to me for a week when i got my first cavity at 20

she paid for some seriously expensive jeans because i “needed” them when her’s were the ones that really needed replacing.

she screamed when i made softball allstars and when i told her i was pregnant (not good for a full resturant, ha).

she is my mom, i am so much of her it’s not funny, i am honored to be her child and lucky to have her as my best friend. thanks mom you’re the best! i love you!

a few months ago ms krystin from eliza kate designs and i “met” online, of course i adored her clothes, her style, the way she put fabrics together, i mean i have TWO girls how could i not love them…..dont you?! well i am FINALLY able to share the session cheeks#1 and i did for eliza kate designs a few months ago….

see i was doing the happy dance when she sent me this totally cute dress that looked perfect on addi but i had no idea what this dress brought with it. it was an entire evening, for US, for me and her, my first born baby… something we havent had in way too long…something we needed more than i knew. i rarely go out anywhere with only one child and if i do its usually bc addi was in mdo so it was always me and camdyn. we have had our fair share of pretty fabulous lunch dates that i am thankful for and that night was addi’s turn. WE HAD A BLAST! she totally posed herself most of the time and was so excited that i bought apples and let her eat them straight off of the core, in fact she ate THREE! we laughed, we visited mr l’s yard, we sweated like crazy, and when it was all said and done we shared a cherry slush from sonic and snuggled on the couch. so in a nutshell i think this dress is pretty stinkin cute on her, but i love it for so many more reasons than that.

since cheeks #2’s surgery we have to keep her as calm as you can keep a 2 yr old that has a pretty crazy sister, not that anyone wants to go out in this heat anyway….so off we went to spend $1 million dollars to paint “pottery”, (i use the term lightly) and of course ourselves in cheeks#1’s case. This child is the reason i need to carry an entire bucket of wipes in my car and an even bigger one in my purse, ha! she, my 3.5 year old had paint on her arms, elbows, FOREHEAD, hair and a little on her knees….yep seriously! i guess when you are such a serious painter you just paint! the funny thing is that she is the one who totalyl wigs out when her hands are dirty….oh well sometimes we must sacrifice for art right?! i of all people should respect that theory with my grass stained clothes and muddy shoes.

speaking of a purse…i have been meaning to mention it for about 6 months now…i officially graduated from the diaperbag to a MOM PURSE aka the oversized a la nicole richie, leaves dents in your shoulder, full of “stuff” mom purse. I gave my fleurville diaper bag a “peace out” and moved on to this mom purse with utter excitement, i had been carrying a diaper bag for almost 3 years, blah to that.

well any of you who are ahead of me in your mommyhood will know what is to come with my relationship with my mom purse, for those of you who have yet to hit your graduation, get ready….get ready for crushed cheerios or other crunchy dried snacks, get ready for not 1 not 2 but maybe 5 paci’s, 2 mini tootsie pops, 3 thomas trains, 1 percy train a little mermaid AND a cinderella toy, 4 pairs of sunglasses only one of which were mine, a few melted crayons, spilled sippy cups thus leading to wet checkbooks, 11 hair accesories, an extra pair of princess panties, a diaper and of course a case of wipes….just to name a few things i found yesterday when i was seraching everywhere for my lost drivers license
